Firearms Industry Matches ATF Reward in Ohio Firearms Theft

from: http://www.shootingwire.com/story/270340

The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms, ammunition, hunting and shooting sports industry, has offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the theft of firearms from High Powered Armory, a federally licensed firearms retailer in Youngstown, Ohio. This reward offer matches a $5,000 reward offer by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

According to ATF, 36 firearms were stolen in a Sept. 23 burglary from the store located at 2500 Market Street. ATF and the Youngstown Police Department are investigating the theft and are seeking information from the public that would lead to the resolution of this investigation.

The matching reward payment by NSSF will be granted only following payment of the initial ATF reward, which is up to $5000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the crime.

Any information regarding this burglary should be reported by calling the ATF hotline: 1-800-ATF-GUNS (1-800-283-4867) or the Youngstown Police Department, 330-747-7911.
