Rubio Suggests Obama Is Letting Iran Dictate US War Policy

Republicans on Wednesday kept up their drum beat against President Obama’s negotiations with Iran over that country’s nuclear program. This time, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) suggested that President Obama was pulling his punches in the war against ISIS terrorists for fear of offending Iranian officials who are wary of a widening U.S. military presence in the Middle East.

During a hearing of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, which is considering new war powers for   Obama in leading air strikes against ISIS, Rubio declared to three top administration officials:  “I believe that much of our strategy with regards to ISIS is being driven by a desire not to upset Iran so they will not walk away from the negotiating table on the deal that you’re working on.

Here’s Why Obama Panders to Iran, Throws Israel Under the Bus

When the chant “Death to America” goes out in Tehran, it should remind us of the nature of Barack Obama’s diplomatic partners in Iran. The radical Shiite Islamists who seized power in 1979 also seized the US embassy in Tehran and kept dozens of diplomatic personnel as hostages for 444 long days.

The chant became a regular feature of the nightly news, as the intense media coverage often included footage of the constant protests of the “students” while a feckless administration could do nothing to end the humiliation.

The pilot was locked out of the cockpit.

That phrase finally revealed the full horror of the crash of Germanwings flight 9525. Co-pilot Andreas Lubitz waited for the pilot to leave the cockpit, then locked the door to prevent his re-entry. After which Lubitz, for reasons unknown and perhaps unknowable, deliberately steered the jet into a harrowing 8 minute plunge ending in an explosive 434 mph impact with a rocky mountainside. 150 men, women and children met an immediate, unthinkably violent death.

Lubitz, in his single-minded madness, couldn't be stopped because anyone who could change the jet's disastrous course was locked out.

Because America is in trouble. We feel the descent in the pits of our stomachs. We hear the shake and rattle of structures stressed beyond their limits. We don't know where we're going anymore, but do know it isn't good. And above all, we feel helpless because Barack Obama has locked us out.

He locked the American people out of his decision to seize the national healthcare system. Locked us out when we wanted to know why the IRS was attacking conservatives. He locked us out of having a say in his decision to tear up our immigration laws, and to give over a trillion dollars in benefits to those who broke those laws.

Newroz bombings!!!

ISIS claimed responsibility via social media channels

Kurds celebrating newroz reacted with shock and grief after twin bombs at a new year’s gathering killed at least 35 people in the predominantly Kurdish city of Hasakah in northeastern Syria, dampening festivities around the world.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon condemned the attacks, which went off near the el-Mufti district in Hasakah as many Syrian Kurds gathered for Newroz, the feast that Kurds celebrate as their new year on Saturday.

Authorities and other sources said at least 35 people were killed and more than 150 wounded, many children out for Newroz celebrations with parents and family.

M. Bane - Thanks for the Reminder!

I, along with your,  "missed America's most beloved holiday, Nowruz, the Persian New Year…the most important holiday of our newest and closest ally in the Middle East, Iran."

I am amazed, just like you MB:  "that Our President, Barry Hussein Obama, even did a video, explaining to the world that Nowruz is a cherished tradition in America, supplanting, I suppose, the obscene and obsolete idolatry of some dead guy nailed on a cross."

"Well, a belated Happy Newroz!"

Okay, like you MB understand that Newroz is how the Kurds — true allies, people of honor, and some of the greatest fighters on earth — spell their beloved holiday.

And I agree to  stated, along with MB - "And so I say that without a shred of sarcasm…may the New Year bring the Kurds and the freedom fighters who stand with them closer to a victory against the forces of fascism."
