Field & Stream Magazine awarded "Best of the Best" honors for the 087 ErgoHunter Adrenaline® - Avid knife in the Haley Heath Ergohunter Adrenaline Series during their annual review of "Gear of the Year" for hunters and other active outdoorsmen.

As written by David E. Petzal, Rifles Editor, Field & Stream, the review states "Buck offers three blades in this hunting series, each of a different steel, with or without a gut hook. What you want is the mid-priced model, made of 12C27 Sandvik steel, with no gut hook. A ferocious cutter, it allows loads of control over the fixed blade, which is a 4 1รข„2-inch-long drop point with plenty of belly." Petzel also said, "Keep the Avid in your pack. You don't want to lose a knife this good."

Buck Knives designed this line in collaboration with Haley Heath as a female specific line of knives. The USA made ErgoHunter Adrenaline Series was modified for the female touch, offering a smaller style for female hands, a re-curved design for a safer grip and the addition of a finger guard at the bottom of the blade.
