Be Thankful

“I awoke this morning with devout thanksgiving for my friends, the old and new.”― Ralph Waldo Emerson

How true this is.

“Small cheer and great welcome makes a merry feast.”― William Shakespeare

I hope that everyone has a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving.

When the gun-ignorant make gun laws

By Tom Gresham - - Tuesday, November 24, 2015

When the state of Maryland quietly killed off its 15-year, $5 million social experiment in gun control — so-called “ballistic fingerprinting” — it served up the latest example of people who know nothing about firearms making technical laws about guns. The news of this latest failure (not a single crime solved in 15 years) followed New York shutting down a similar program, and it generated from gun owners and gun makers a tired “We told you so.”

WISE WORDS from The Sheriff

Winter Wear

by Sheriff Jim Wilson - Monday, November 23, 2015

When the temperatures start dropping it means good news and bad news for the armed citizen. The good news is that, now that heavier outer garments are appropriate, you can carry a larger defensive handgun properly concealed. The bad news is that, when trouble raises its ugly head, your defensive handgun may be holstered under several layers of clothing, making a rapid response a bit difficult.

Confused about the enemy !!!????!!!

Terrorism explodes and Obama goes to war against America

Since the horrific Paris terror attacks, President Obama and the Democrats want you to think that defending ourselves from Islamic terrorism will only make things worse. Bombing the Islamic State, you see, will make it easier for them to recruit.
Mr. Obama also says closing the Guantanamo Bay military prison will make us safer because, according to him, ISIL, another name for the Islamic State, uses its existence as a recruitment tool.

The president also insists that any effort to pause the importation of Syrian refugees while we strengthen the vetting process will also cause more Muslims to join the ranks of those insane mass murderers.

Treason: Obama’s Legacy
NOVEMBER 17, 2015 ~ AMP1776

"Treason.  It’s the only word defined in the U.S. Constitution.  In Article 3, Section 3 it is defined, ” Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.”

America, we have a problem.  We have a President who is committing treason on a regular basis and a spineless Congress which won’t put a stop to it, a sign that they’re complicit.  Barack Obama continually does things to undermine our national security in ways that both adhere to our enemies and provide them aid and comfort.  There is no clearer form of aid and comfort than to bring enemies to our shores and set them free amongst our communities and families. "

"So far 26 state governors have have said they will refuse to take in any of these enemy Syrian refugees.  These states are: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin.

States whose governors say they will accept refugees: Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, Vermont, and Washington.  If you live in one of these states, you’d better watch your back!"

I totally agree with this statement:

"Kerry said, “We are all Parisians.”  No Johnny, I am an American.  I am well armed.  I do not surrender.

Do you agree with Michael Bane's Post & Blog?

"I posted the comment below on HuffPo and later on FaceBook ...."

"Oddly enough I studied Islam in college, read and studied the Holy Quran, was fascinated by the religion. When I spoke the eulogy at my Father's funeral, I quoted the beautiful words of the Prophet. But as my major professor in college said, "If you're a male warrior, Islam is for you. If you're not, not so much..." I have known many many Muslims who were not terrorists, but, at least in my opinion, it's important to understand the jihadists are not "barbarians" or "misrepresenting Islam," but rather an honest representation of an interpretation of the religion. A lethal representation, to be sure...it may not be "your Islam," but it is Islam. I greatly fear the reason we don't see a massive uprising of "moderate" Muslims is that they're basically hedging their bets. This is the war of our lifetime, and suspect we "infidels" will be fighting it on our own. Hashtags and cute pictures are easy. To stand against the butchers who will bury your male children alive and sell your daughters on the block, as my professor said, not so much. As Greg Gutfield noted today, "Peace signs, like pacifism, are imposters for action - pleasing the enemy, who see fear in symbolic, rather than real, response."

".... THE RELIGION by Tim Willocks,  set in the years of the Crusades, "

“The flux in God’s crucible is infinite in possibility, and in that final outcome only God will know who it was that tipped the balance: be it the knight who died in the breach, or the water boy who slaked his thirst, or the baker who made his bread, or the bee that stung the foeman in the eye. That is how finely the scales of war are weighted."

" Think about that a minute. "The flux in God's crucible is infinite in possibility..."

"Violence — the violence of war or the personal violence of men — are just such systems. There are too many factors acting on the system for us to truly predict the outcome. I have read today that it is the height of foolishness to even suggest that one person, or 2 people, or even 3 people with handguns could truly turn the tide in a terrorist event such as Paris, or Mumbai. Foolishness! Arrogant American rednecks and their little guns! How can they imagine to stand against trained killers?

And yet, in Garland, TX, one man with a gun made all the difference in the world. "That is how finely the scales of war are balanced."

Why Paris Happened
by Roger L Simon

"I am not going to blame Barack Obama entirely for what happened in Paris Friday — but mostly.  And that’s not just because he famously called ISIS the jayvee team, when they are now unequivocally the New York Yankees or the Manchester United of terror, repellent as that analogy may be (he started it).

But what is clear from the carnage at The Bataclan theatre and elsewhere in Paris that we will be studying for weeks or months to come is that the West has no leader in our evident civilizational war — no Churchill, no Roosevelt, no de Gaulle, not even a George W. Bush.  It’s certainly not Barack Obama, a ludicrous man who thinks the world’s greatest problem is climate change in the face of Islamic terror.  This is the same man who oversaw, indeed instigated, a large-scale American d√©marche for the first time since World War II."

FIQH ver. 3

POSTED ON NOVEMBER 13, 2015 BY JOHN HINDERAKER IN TERRORISM
“THE AMERICAN BLOOD IS BEST, AND WE WILL TASTE IT SOON”

"The line we have heard more than once from ISIS-related sites is, “The American blood is best, and we will taste it soon.” The French are tougher than many realize, but they are not the primary targets of Muslim extremists.

This morning, in a burst of bad timing, Barack Obama said on ABC that ISIS is “contained.” Far from being contained, ISIS is on a roll, from the Sinai, where they apparently brought down an airplane full of Russian tourists, to Paris, France.

No one can seriously doubt that ISIS, and other Muslim terrorist groups, are doing all they can to attack the United States. We, meanwhile, are welcoming enormous numbers of immigrants from Islamic countries, and have gone “open borders” so that anyone can enter the United States from the south. What reason is there to think that Islamic terrorists will not enter across our unguarded borders and organize attacks similar to, or worse than, what France experienced tonight? None."

The Barbarians Are Inside, And There Are No Gates

by Mark Steyn

Steyn on Europe

November 13, 2015

Summing it up: "To repeat what I said a few days ago, I'm Islamed out. I'm tired of Islam 24/7, at Colorado colleges, Marseilles synagogues, Sydney coffee shops, day after day after day. The west cannot win this thing with a schizophrenic strategy of targeting things and people but not targeting the ideology, of intervening ineffectually overseas and not intervening at all when it comes to the remorseless Islamization and self-segregation of large segments of their own countries.

So I say again: What's the happy ending here? Because if M Hollande isn't prepared to end mass Muslim immigration to France and Europe, then his "pitiless war" isn't serious. And, if they're still willing to tolerate Mutti Merkel's mad plan to reverse Germany's demographic death spiral through fast-track Islamization, then Europeans aren't serious. In the end, the decadence of Merkel, Hollande, Cameron and the rest of the fin de civilisation western leadership will cost you your world and everything you love."

Paris! Why it happened

as stated by: AMP (Anna Maria Perez)

My comment first: Amazing that the people of France are unarmed. Could this be one of the problems in France?

AMP Blog:

"Paris, France came under attack by muslim terrorists on the night of 13 November, 2015.  This isn’t about what happened.  You can find out what happened on various news sites if you don’t already know.  I am going to tell you WHY it happened.  The talking heads in media will wonder why it happened for days, but I am going to tell you why.  I am not hiding behind a shroud of political correctness.  In a nutshell, it happened, because the Koran tells muslims to kill infidels, so that’s what muslims do."

"What is it going to take to wake people up? Norway deported 70,000 muslims and crime dropped 31%. Switzerland mandates gun ownership and they aren’t having terrorist attacks."

Don't you Remember, The Fifth of November

Don't you Remember,
The Fifth of November,
'Twas Gunpowder Treason Day,
I let off my gun,
And made'em all run.
And Stole all their Bonfire away. (1742)

Guy Fawkes, also known as Guido Fawkes, the name he adopted while fighting for the Spanish, was a member of a group of provincial English Catholics who planned the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605.

Why is the media silent? - 15 people have been shot in Chicago, including 4 teenagers and a senior citizen since Friday!!!!

Did you know 15 people have been shot in Chicago, including 4 teenagers and a senior citizen since Friday? Of course not. It was in Chicago – in a neighborhood where there used to be a $3 million drug operation. The Chicago Tribune says more than 40 people were charged in connection with the heroin ring last June.

But that’s when the neighborhood really went downhill.

After this weekend’s shootings, the Chicago Tribune says residents agree, “the neighborhood was better when the drug dealers were around.

“When the drug dealers had left, that’s when everything started getting worse on this block,” said Mariah Monae, 16, who didn’t want to give her last name. “But when they was here, they was protecting us. They ain’t let none of that shooting stuff happen.”

There are no gun stores in the city of Chicago. Whether legal or illegal, every gun in Chicago came from somewhere else. And Chicago’s police department seizes more illegal weapons than any other in the nation — nearly 20 a day for a total of 5,500 so far this year.

So far this year, 401 people have been killed in Chicago alone. After reading the accounts of those killed this weekend (which isn’t over yet) many of the victims were approached by someone and shot in the back, or shot while driving or walking through the streets.
